They were a spam nightmare back when they were giving away free web space.
It looks like they changed their privacy policy last March, so things may be cool, though their privacy policy doesn't apply to their advertisers, who they give cookie access to.
Keep your fingers crossed.

I haven't had a problem with spam since I joined myspace. There's quite a few famous musicians on there and sadly a few imposters. It's a half decent area to promote your band and upcoming shows.

Yeah, I use it for my instrumental shit (www.myspace.com/punkinhead) and Martrydom used it. I also have a personal profile up on it. It's not as bad as it was spam wise. You may get some more than normal but, it's not that bad.

And for the networking source it has become, some spam is worth it.
