Bullshit!
Wow, did anyone see that Steeler game? That may have been the worst officiated game i've ever seen.

As a Ravens fan, I'd agree with the officiating. The game should be played in an unbiased, unprejudiced, fair-calls (always reviewable if not) -only environment. There should be no "bad call" this, "bad call" that shit. Bad calls suck, for anybody
HOWEVER... I also feel that it was karma coming to bite ass. MANY games have been played over the years between the Steelers and Ravens, and there have been several where the Steelers took a game over officiating that was far less than fair. There were a few games a few years back that I was specifically eyeing and ranting over, because of how horrible the calls were. Those calls became the difference between a win and a loss on numerous occasions, so obviously, I wasn't happy, and felt strongly about the way they got away with things. It wasn't just against the Ravens either... The Steelers got away with several calls in other games, not just them (although, the same year, the Ravens were getting tons of bogus calls against them, so I don't know how to think that). I've lost a lot of respect over the Steelers for winning so many games with that kind of "win"
With that said, several of the Steelers fans I know (knew then anyway) told me 2 things... A win is a win, and suck it up. While I'm not so abbrasive with either of those, the "win is a win" part is the way the NFL works nowadays. No, the game shouldn't be won under such decisions. But, seeing as everyone else takes what they can get, why not take it the other way too
In the final 2 minutes, the Steelers took a final chance, giving the Ravens the ball, and put their money on their defense. The Ravens took that chance to the bank. The final plays weren't decided by the officials... They were decided by the Steelers. They controlled that part of destiny, and could've made it a "Despite all the calls" win. They didn't. Even the radio personnell said they'd take the same game plan. The plan didn't work. That is that

I am trying to figure out why it was o.k for Lewis to go headhunting and knock Ward's bell lose, but not let Clark do the same thing? The Steelers always suck against the Ravens, it is a given that they will lose every time they play them. No matter how good the rest of the season is going for them.
Music Rocks!

The Steelers lost because they allowed 80% conversions on the 3rd downs, and BADLUCK not because of officiating. The last i heard Ravens had like 12 out of 16 3rd downs converted. that's F ing unreal..no team converts 80+% of 3rd downs..Raven were playing way over their head and had a LOT of LUCKY converts!

Yea, third downs killed us. The defense just couldn't get it done.
The thing I dislike about the Ravens, is that it seems like every week, they get touchdowns because they keep getting interference penalties in the end zone. Like the game last night, their first touchdown came off of one. The last pass for the win was one, however the raven pushed off, but anyway it was even if he didn't catch that one, they would have had the ball on the 1 yard line. Last week they did it 3 times vs the Cardinals to come back. I predicted they would do that, and they did.

yes! We shut down Rice, we shut down their running game. Like the "old" days! What like 3/4 thru the game rice had like 29 yards lol. That was beautiful, but other than HARRISON (who was magnificent) we didn't roust Flaccid err FlaccoRobTheDrummer wrote:Yea, third downs killed us. The defense just couldn't get it done.

Ravens will never make the PO's this year. We'll beat Cinci next week, take a breather on the "bye", and kill the reamining season to take the division. we don't need no stinking wildcard

he made some good plays..nailed Rice in backfield and sacked Flacco once or twice when they blitzed. not always what he does in a game his presence (prescience is enoughlonewolf wrote:I'd also like to point out that PGH has only 2 INTs and 2 FRs all season. Speaking of which...where is Troy Polamalu?

did you see Harrison vault over a D player to sack Flacco, LOL

Yep, I said "look, its Superman!" and right on cue, Collinsworth supplied the echo.jetcitywoman wrote:he made some good plays..nailed Rice in backfield and sacked Flacco once or twice when they blitzed. not always what he does in a game his presence (prescience is enoughlonewolf wrote:I'd also like to point out that PGH has only 2 INTs and 2 FRs all season. Troy had zero sacks and 3 solo tackles. His most memorable play was when Smith dropped a pass in the end zone a few plays before the winning TD. The replay showed Polamalu in the middle of the field, 20 yards from anybody. I think his pants were around his ankles.

...Oh, the freedom of the day that yielded to no rule or time...
Weakest link from last year was the defensive secondary. Still is.
There were a lot of free agent D backs available in the offseason. The Steelers looked at a total of NONE of them.
This game was very much like the Super Bowl, the defense, esp. the secondary, could not stop a drive at the end of the game. And from a mediocre QB. Flacco is no Aaron Rogers.
The secondary is digressing from last year.

Really? Think so? Last week we shut Brady & (welch welker; how spell his name, who cares) and his corp of receivers SHUT THEM down MANO-to-Man coverage! no zone! Fellatio err flacco hehehe is no Brady, and his receivers don't measure up to Brady's bunch.undercoverjoe wrote:Weakest link from last year was the defensive secondary. Still is.![]()

i have no clue how they converted all those 3rd down..3rd down is 3rd down you're not looking @ 3rd down because the ravens were doing so good. i don't know..sucked big time
LUCK. Raven;'s were lucky; that's only thing that explains it because we beat them at every front!
New England has 3 losses this year, half way through. Last year they had 3 losses for the whole season.
The Pats have no deep threat. If you shut down the short pass, which the Steelers did last week, you can beat the Pats.
Other teams now see this. As good a the pretty boy QB is, he does not have the receivers he needs.
Flacco had more yards against the D than did Brady!!!!! Regression of the secondary.
Why didn't Tomlin look at any CB or Saftey free agents this summer? Did he think the secondary was fine?
That worries me.

Pour me another one, cause I'll never find the silver lining in this cloud.
The Steelers scored less points, so they didn't beat them on every front. And sometimes I'd rather be lucky than good.jetcitywoman wrote:Really? Think so? I'm not a Ravens fan, I just dislike the Steelers. In my area, the Steelers have a lot of fans, most of which don't know the rules of the game. If someone gets within a 10 yard mobile circle of Big Ben, they're screaming "where's the flag". Sadly, these fans give decent fans a very bad name.

why dislike the Steelers? lot's of others to dislike for a reason like the Pats & bellicheat. who likes Brady, what's to like with that arrogant...the raiders for being perennial losers that they are. da Bears for signing Cutler. (da born loser). M. Vick & eagles for resurrecting a dog abuser/ whatever else. Tim Tebow,Merge wrote:I'm not a Ravens fan, I just dislike the Steelers.
