Did you know Zooey Deschanel is a musician and singer? She has played and sung in several bands as well as a solo act and done a number of recordings.

Here she is singing the national Anthem at The World Series this week.

I was just checking out her duo group She & Him videos. Really cool stuff. She & Him is an American indie pop duo consisting of Zooey Deschanel (vocals, piano, ukulele) and M. Ward (guitar, production).

I also found out her sister is Emily Deschanel from the TV show Bones.

I only knew that because she does a cotton commercial and I looked her stuff up after that. I can't usually say this about actors who crossover into music (see Scarlett Johannson and Eddie Murphy) but I really like her voice and her music. She's so cool!
