ROFLMAO

That almost looks like the one for Brown Eyed Girl, except that there are "PLAY IT" boxes.

Mustang Sally is one of those song that I have never heard two bands play it the same way. My band "Conniptified" it and we play it faster to make it more danceable.

What I find interesting about this song is that it is way more popular now than it was when it was new.

Hardly anybody plays Mustang Sally like the original version by Mack Rice. The original also has the turn around chord in it. Take a listen to the first recording of Mustang Sally.

that is one of the funniest things I've seen on RP. And helpful for you all! Also, can substitute many other tired songs. I feel like most women my age keep this shit going and it will never ever stop. Ugh. Made tolerable by the great musicians around here.

Sidestep did it like SRV would if he was in a funk band. I remember having Jerrone Barnes sit in with us at Victory Lane, and it lasted 15 minutes, but I dug the whole thing. That same night he did a waaaay-long version of Sex Machine (James Brown), too.

This is so funny, I just came across this. This is a list of rules for the Blues Competition that ends in Memphis. It's a pretty big deal in the Blues world.

Read Rule # 1.

1. Blues Content: Everyone has his or her own interpretation of what is and is not Blues. Thus, any given three-judge panel will include members with varying opinions of Blues, covering the spectrum of Blues whenever possible, from the most traditional to soul blues and rock blues. Bands should pick material carefully. At the Memphis quarterfinals, semi-finals and finals, the judges are Blues professionals, not a bar crowd, and are likely to be unimpressed with song selections that are uninspired. (Call this--with all due respect to Sir Mack Rice and Wilson Pickett--the "no Mustang Sally rule.")
