Just a Thought

Post by kayla »

If you are hosting an audition at your home - please tell the people you invited that you have dogs. Or at least post a sign beware of dogs.

i do not like being bitten by one dog, let alone three dogs. i think its unfortunate that this happened to me, and i wouldn't like it to happen to others. soo, if ya could - please forewarn the people you've invited to your home.

if you dont have dogs, dont mind my rant. but i'm sure if you got bitten by three dogs you'd be a little upset too.

i may get a lil flack for posting - but i'm just tryin to ask for some courtesy. thanks!

/endrant.

omfg kayla......are you ok?? holy shit. Id be shooting some dogs in the head!!!!
dogs are fuckin stupid anyway. dumbass loud stinky annoying animals.
Did you call the police??

Whoever it was, invite me over for an audition. ;)

Edit: Obviously Id never go to an audition, but what would you do if the person had been like me? 6 ft 3 and 300 lbs? I mean, I woulda hurt those damn dogs bad. Believe it or not. ;)
Its common courtesy to put your dumbass animals away when you have people over. Regardless of whether you know them or not. Unless they are cats of course, which usually arent loud mean assholes like dogs.
This just pisses me off so bad. I feel so bad for Kayla. No one wouldve enjoyed having that happen to them.

...except my aunt's cat. He's psycho. Luckily, he's declawed.

Of course, Advice Dog wouldn't have bitten Kayla.

 I am totally shocked this happened to you Kayla. You must be a very nice person because if it had been me, the only dilemma would be...do I sue this moron or just kick his ass? Un-fucking-believable. Glad you weren't seriously hurt. The idiocy of the average American never fails to amaze me.

geez, Kayla, I'm glad you're okay! That's rough. If it were me, I'd have gone back to my car and called the cops, and let what would happen, happen. It kills me that you still went through with the audition, you're awesome!!
I always hate to see animals put down because they're humans are morons, though. Just out of curiosity, was this in Altoona? When I've had my dog out, she almost got attacked by aggressive off-leash dogs (that their owners couldn't control) twice in one week...it seems to be a problem around here.

Ya I still went through with the audition. Next time my strat will be by my side so I can start swingin. It happened so fast. I would have appreciated knowing there were dogs, especially aggressive ones. I took the proper steps to protect myself. I wont disclose the name, but it was not in altoona.

Anyways, im still lookin for a band....

You're a trooper!!!! If I played in a blues band, I'd sure as hell want ya to join...that's commitment!! Sorry the audition didn't work, and even worse that ya got bitten. Again it's hard to blame the animals when their owners are dumber than they are.

I would have told the MF "you owe me $10,000 now or I'll be back with the cops to haul either your sorry ass out, or the dogs" (especially if they drew blood, or as you said you had puncture wounds). This is in fact a form of assault in the legal world. Too bad (as others have stated) that the owner was stupid and didn't put their dogs away, it probably wasn't their (the dogs') fault. They obviously haven't been trained. I wouldn't want to be in a band with anyone who would subject their bandmates to this type of thing. Sorry it happened to you, and glad you're okay! Kudos for not posting name(s), but I'd be pissed.

I love my big mean nasty dog.He keeps the douchebags away.Best of all he's not a fucking cat.Sorry that happened to you though K.That had to suck.Any more than two dogs together and they start to live with a "pack mentality",which unless you can contain and control always spells out trouble.

Exactly. We have 3 little dogs, and you have to really stay on top of things, or they get out of hand really quick... I don't mistreat them, but I will hand out some ass-whoopin's, so they know who the alpha-dog is. My dogs are all talk with strangers, though... they flip out when you knock on the door, but they're playing kissy-face a minute later.
Sorry to hear about your audition, Kayla. That'll make an awesome war story someday. I don't think I could top that one.

Fire was actually a song Hendrix wrote after The Experience played a gig and ended up at somebody's home. It was cold and Jimi just wanted to stand by the homeowner's fireplace; but there was a big dog preventing him doing so - hence the line, "Move over Rover, and let Jimi take over."
