Your Entrance Music

Post by Don Hughes »

Completely useless thread, but I don't care.

What would your entrance music be? Could just be entering a room carrying a boom box, could be a UFC Championship fight.

I'm torn between "Million Miles Away" by The Offspring, "Faulty Information" by Ra, or "Over And Under" by Egypt Central.

Very interesting psychology... wouldn't all of us come out then to Ashley Simpson singing at the Super Bowl?

Wow! You mean I'm not the only one on the planet unimpressed by the White Stripes?

There's quite a few I could choose from but I'd probably pick Fear Factory's 'Demanufacture". That song gives me an adrenaline rush every time.

Incidentally we met a UFC fighter in Iowa and he asked permission to use one of our songs for his entrance music. He lost his next fight! I hope the two were in no way connected.

The last 3:56 of the song "Pretty Soon, I Don't Know What, but Something Is Going to Happen" by Norma Jean. It would be a long walk to the octogon, but a champion would deserve it.

Either "Orion" by Metallica or "Symptom of the Universe" by Sabbath. Of course different events might call for other tunes as well. Cool thread idea, btw.

"Bodies," by Drowning Pool. No better wrestling entrance theme was ever written.
There are backups for me, though:
"I'm Still Here," by John Hartford
"I'm A Tank," by LSD
"Man Against Machine," by Thin Ice
"God Of Thunder," by Kiss
"99 Ways To Die," by Megadeth

If I were in WWE, I think my song would be Skullcrusher from Over Kill.

I don't really want wrestling music. But if Jungle Boogie would be playing behind me everywhere else....that would be pretty cool. Yeah, I just watched Pulp Fiction again......

Hold Your Head Up - Argent

The steady beat to get the crowd chanting, clapping, and stomping, the song dynamics and the meaning of the lyrics make it a good one for me.

Needleman's theme from Megaman 3. Yeah, I'm such a nerd.

This thread reminds me of that episode of Family Guy where Peter has his own theme music.
"He's the electric horseman, you better back off!" - old sKool making a reference to the culturally relevant 1979 film.

I could write a good, long list, including several local favorite bands' creations. This is the very narrow version...

4 Days Dirty/This Calling - Killbox
Alice Cooper - Time To Kill (amongst several others, really)
Choking Faith - Six
DevilDriver - Die (And Die Now)
Disturbed - Indestructable
DOFKA - Vampire's Curse
Dope - Die Mother Fucker, Die
Dragon Fire - Unstoppable
Godsmack - Keep Away or Straight Out Of Line
Hatebreed - I Will Be Heard, Live For This, or This Is Now
Lamb Of God - Omerta
Machine Head - Bulldozer or Imperium
Metallica - Battery or Fight Fire With Fire
Naildriver - Enemy or The Executioner
Ninetail - Cradled Lunacy or Parabellum
Second Offense - Saline
SiX - Stranger, Killer, King
The Embalmed - Crooked Path or What Would Judas Do
Theatre Of Tragedy - Hide & Seek
Trivium - Ember To Inferno
Twisted & Used - Reformed Regret

I like the diversity of the songs. What I really find interesting is what gets people into that intense feeling. I went to a local MMA show here in Pittsburgh (they have a growing market here), and most of the songs were either metal or rap with that intense feeling, however one fighter in particular came out to "The Host Of Seraphin" by Dead Can Dance. A very haunting tune, and it really changed the atmosphere of that certain fight.
