Old Rockers
Old Rockers
I saw Peter Frampton in Durham, NC last night and I must say he was quite good. It was worth it just to see him do Do You Feel Like We Do, but the rest was great too. He played for three hours and did cool versions of Black Hole Sun and While My Guitar Gently Weeps. Frampton definately delivered on the guitar!
The crowd was mostly older couples. I looked around and said to my wife, "Is this what we look like now?" Hmm.
I missed the Steely Dan show last month, but I heard it was good too. Have you seen any old famous rockers lately that can still tear it up?

I saw Squeeze on PBS last weekend, they were excellent, I've been raving about them ever since. I've been revisiting music that I missed while I was stuck on heavy stuff back in the day, and Tillbrook and Co. have a tremendous command of melodic and chord structure. The songs are so different than the pop of both then and now, chord progressions that go places you don't expect, but are still very pleasing to the ear.

Watched that too Johnny, well the last half hour, and it was great. They haven't lost a thing. Checked online and they have a new album out.
