I vote for Dire Straits. Incredible musicians, great songwriting, and from what I've heard, a great band live. Knopfler's voice is low to begin with, so changing the key of the song wouldn't be necessary.

The reunion I want would require Duane Allman and Barry Oakley to return from their gigs in the afterworld. Then they would have to get Gregg Allman to make nice with Dickey Betts.

I can dream.

Going with bands whose members are still alive to be more possible, here are a few.

Emerson, Lake, & Palmer
Deep Purple Machine Head era lineup
The Guess Who American Woman era lineup

Pantera. Obviously impossible but I figured if this was a wish list...that's my vote. I wish I could see Dimebag play live one more time. Oh yeah and Phil not drunk and not messed up on heroin. Again its a wish list....not remotely possible.

Boston's original line-up. I like the Dire Straits idea also.

ALL good calls! I miss Banditos, too! Manndrake was awesome as well, and I forgot one ...Ice, from Cambria County.

Well, this wish lineup recently came true.

The J. Geils Band reunited and played a benefit in Boston for Big Brothers/Big Sisters on January 23, 2010, which Peter Wolf called the "last" Geils show. "You never say never," Wolf noted. On August 14, 2010 The J. Geils Band reunited once again to open up for Aerosmith at a sold out show at Fenway Park.

The J. Geils Band embarked on a short U.S. tour in August 2011.

I'll go with Dire Straits and Emerson, Lake and Palmer. The Nightcrawlers, too. I never got to see them in person, just some videos.

As far as local bands go, I'd like to see Choking Faith and possibly Chapter 5 get back together for a couple of shows and the Nightcrawlers, since I, too, never got to see them.

Ya know, they used to rehearse a block away from me back in high school when they still were Nevermore. I'm not mentioning any names, but they just used that kid for rehearsal space. As soon as they found someone "better", they were gone, but that was back in high school.

I did see that their website is all about Adam. Guess he has the look

Choking Faith, Second Offense, 4 Days Dirty, and Chapter 5, Dragon Fire... Sue, those were the good ole days! Well, not ole, cos that was only 4-5 short years ago, but still... Damn, were those days fun!

On the grand scheme of things, I'd like to see Boston too, I'd like to see Pantera (of course with Dimebag), Theatre Of Tragedy, Type O Negative, Evanescence's original lineup,... Hmm... I know I'm missing some, but that's my list for now. Heh
