There be Jammin at Yesterdays Party

Starting last wednesday Yp had a Jam night. Theres to be another this wednesday starting at 10:00 or so.
A small Pa is provided as well as drums, bass and acoustic, possibly others not real sure on that, but I can check if anyones intrested.
I felt this might be of intrest to everyone here. Its a chance to show what you,ve got to offer and possibly get your foot in the door.

40% chance I'll make it. It'd be nice if they would start about 8 like the "Corner". I have to get up early the next day to dust.

I played YP before, great place, and the people are great. I wish I could go to this, I encourage everyone that can get there, to get there, the place is a lot of fun.

do you have to play an instrument to jam? i am really good at making noises & clicks & such that sound like percussion, but really aren't. i havent been able to showcase them in any traditional formats, but something like this jam nite might be the perfect place. i do a great version of the immigrant song, and also am well versed in a lot of traffic's songs. i could bring my own mic, and stand where the tamborine player usually stands. any ideas?

Stop bye with clicks and such you can probably do almost anything at a jam night if it fits in and you can find someone there to play along.
Just give them an idea of what your going to do. You will not need mic stand or mics they will be there.
Also like I said 10:00 is not dead set start time.
And by all means you can sing .

Just keep in mind, that it is supposed to be a jam night, and not Kareoke Night! I've seen several jam nights go foul because drunks think they can sing.

i do not drink when i perform. i find that alcohol impairs my ability to absorb the rhythm and click in accordance with the beat. i am not a good singer, just a good beat box.
