Album you haven't listened to for a long time & it's due
Name an album you haven't listened to for a long long time, but it is time to listen to now...
EDIT: These are two albums I haven't listened to for about ten years and about two years respectively.
Forgive me for showing my age and the 60's genre but my wife and I sat out on the porch this evening, had a couple drinks and listened to:
The Grassroots and Abby Road. Made for a very pleasant evening.
Anything you haven't listented to for a while ? But think it's about time you do ?

Blues Brothers
S'up Hawk?
Today it was The Blues Brothers live on New Years Eve at the Winterland in 1978-79. One of three bands of the closing of Winterland.
First band: Blues Brothers
Second: New Riders of the Purple Sage
Third: Grateful Dead - midnight-6am

Oh shit...

Oh well, I guess next is New Riders from that same night.
A few that immediately surfaced:
Kansas - Two For the Show
Thin Lizzy - Renegade
City Boy - The Day the Earth Caught Fire
Trust - Prefabricated
Saxon - The Power and the Glory (Saxon is coming to DC and Baltimore in October, so it's likely I'll be blowing the dust off of this album and listening to it again soon!)

Toto IV
Came across one of the songs the other day on YouTube and had to pull out the old vinyl. I don't think there is a bad song on this album. Just great arrangements and musicianship. A true classic album in my eyes.
The other cool thing is my son who just started college discovered listening music on vinyl. In his words: "It just sounds so much better than stuff on CD or mp3s." This made me

Rod
I'm reminded of attending a Dixie Dregs concert in Pittsburgh during the mid-90s. Next to me, there was a guy with a giant baseball cap and big round glasses screaming "Rod the god" all night long. Rod was indeed awesome and a super nice guy. He handed me a stick after the show.

Funny thing about this thread is....... and I'm suprised it hasn't been brought up yet. Have any of you said "Album" to the younger generation and had them just look at you funny ? We know albums the newer generation knows "discs" but I think that may even fade away at some point here in my life.
Don't bitch to me about the economy while you're still buying Chinese products.
