Any Bottom End Thumpers Available???

Post by GrooveMeister70 »

Are there any skilled bass players out there that can play well, sing well and perform well all at the same time while carrying top quality gear? Ground floor opportunity with a new and upcoming band of veteran players that is putting a unique spin on things. Looking at spanning a 100 - 150 mile radius of Indiana, PA for gigs. We will utilize a compact sound and light show that will be geared toward thumping and lighting the dance floor and will keep overhead costs to a minimum. Will shoot for $75-$100 per member minimum out of the gate and build from there.

Please no DRAMA, DRUGS or ALCOHOL issues. We will book Friday and Saturday nights and we may even do some mid-week acoustic shows. If you wish to be in a good band that will eventually play a lot of shows and you don't mind some traveling then please by all means give us a shout. We are all in our 40's, have families and day jobs but music is our passion and what we truly love to do...

As of this moment we have not etched out a song list. This is a group of veteran players building a brand new band and we are right now looking for the right bass player. I can tell you that we will run a fairly large gamut of music styles as we all come from diverse musical backgrounds. The music will be rock whether that is the way it the song was originally written or if we have to do what we must to rock it up. We will grab songs from the 80's Retro genre, we will grab songs from the Country Rock genre, will may grab a few oldies, and will probably grab songs from the Hard Rock genre, just to name a few and give you an idea of the diversity we wish to present. We refuse too limit ourselves to any one certain genre.

Auditions will be set up for sometime around mid September as a few of us will be out of town on vacation over the next couple of weeks. If interested in coming out for an audition get back to us and we will fire you out 4 or 5 songs to work on.

We plan on running the gamut of rock n roll from the 50's all the way up to 2011. There are a lot more than just 21-30 years olds going to the bars. We like all things rock n roll no matter how old or how new. It doesn't matter what the age range, if the dance groove is happening, people will dance regardless; even if it is Greg Kihn...

Thanks Chris for your interest even though this is not your type of band. Best of luck to you as well.
