Well, if you want RP to be "fair and balanced." Don't forget, Bush caused hurricane Katrina.

Yup, if Bush caused Katrina, then Obama caused this. Actually, the Christian in me is thinking other things. But I won't discuss them on here.

As for the quake. I didn't feel it.

Somebody joked on Facebook that it was the founding fathers rolling in their graves...

I didn't feel it. I was teaching class at Penn State Altoona at the time, and must have been concentrating on my presentation too closely to notice any shaking or movement. It would be kind of neat to have a small tremor in the middle of my news writing class, though, I could turn it into an instant news writing assignment!

I went into my bathroom to take a shower and my toilet started to shake. I thought maybe a large truck drove past my house but there weren't any trucks. It only last a few seconds.

Obama will blame Bush and the Tea Party, like he blames them for everything now.

I was in the car at the time, so I didn't notice it. When I got home DarkeSoul said it shook him around a bit.

Rumors said the Washington Monument was tilting. Lets get Congress, the President and all the DC lobbyists up to the top level to check it out.

Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On would be more fitting, but alright. Heh

I was freshly awakened by the sounds of fire engines and ambulances and the like, still nowhere near truly awake. After the noises all stopped, I felt my bed shake, and as I have a mind that believes in spirits and the like, I was laying there, wondering what just happened. I knew it was truly happening, but I didn't know if it was an INCREDIBLY strong wind, a ghost shaking my bed (perhaps my late aunt, just saying hi and seeing how her nephew was doing?), or what. I reached for my phone shortly after, as it woke me up enough to stir. I wanted to check the weather today, but in my drowsy state, I accidentally opened my Facebook to see that people (every post was in mention of the earthquake, in fact) were talking about it. That answers that!

Ok, it wasn't a spirit/ghost shaking my bed, but damn was it a weird thing to have an earthquake in this part of the country! I was thinking, and realized that the nearest Tectonic plate wasn't even within a thousand miles of this region, even in my delirium! That thought makes me wonder... What would cause such an earthquake in such a region? What DID cause the earthquake in this region?

Lonewolf, that was two days before the quake ;-)

We were just joking about our wedding song being either Whole Lotta Shakin Goin On or You Shook Me All Night Long.

I actually slept through it. My fiance woke me up for it.
