Lies, Inc.

Post by ToonaRockGuy »

Got to play a show with Lies at VOMA in Johnstown last night...let me tell you. This band is the real deal. Lilly has an amazingly powerful voice, and the originals that they are writing absolutely crush. Dax, Kent, and Ron are so tight, even when playing in whatever time signature pops in to Dax's head when they are writing!! Do yourself a favor and catch these folks out soon, you will not regret it!!

...not to mention Kent has good taste in his beer selection. That counts for a lot in my book. ;)

Yep, its kinda like Rush meets Yes meets {insert favorite female vocalist here}!

I was impressed and it was during jam night with the jam night PA system.

I'm so excited to see them with their new singer! I enjoyed Lies, Inc.'s lineup before; is their new stuff much like their older stuff or have they changed their sound up a bit?

I was battling with ringing ears at Voma and wasnt able to sit in the room once Lies started. From what I heard outside I think its the best Ive ever heard Kent and a project that hes involved with. Even outside my ears were ringing but the music was crystal clear and very punchy.

I know its a Lies topic but ole Naildriver sounded pretty freakin awesome as well.

I have to wonder how often they'll be in the Altoona area. If the raves and reviews are anything to the sound these guys (and girl) drill, I'm seriously interested in checking them out. I'd never gotten the chance to see Nitekast, but have seen Lies, Inc. a couple times before, so it could definitely be an audio treat to my ears!

i have both seen and worked with both nitecast and lies inc. and when combing the vocal sounds of lilly and the asskickin sound of lies, all i can say is WOW! you will not be let down. i love the music lies has written but i always said something was missing. well they found it. i got a little sneek peak of their recordings thanx to kent and it absolutely kicks ass. i will be very suprised if this doesnt lead to something for them. i can't wait for saturday to hear them live.

You guys are all too kind....many thanks to everyone for welcoming us back to the scene, most of all NAILDRIVER for playing our first "official" show with us! We are honored to be back out there and rubbing elbows with such great players (and great people!). It's great to be performing original music again!

And once again, Dax plays the humble role. You're not fooling anyone anymore, Dax LOL.
You're every bit as good as your compatriots.
I have to get out and see the new lineup..it's been awhile since I've seen any bands.
