Drummer and Bass Player for original blues/rock project
Hey Everyone,
Chuck Mason and Blue Reality has just finished work on a CD and is set to release it in early Sept. Check out a few tunes at bluerealitymusic.net. I'm looking for a drummer and bass player who want to get behind the music and see what happens.
The band is your basic power trio. We won't be limited to the original tunes but they will be blended with the blues of Albert and Freddie King, SRV, Cream, Hendrix et al.
You'll have to up for travel and playing shows that my not pay a ton of money. Some won't pay anything at all but listen to the tunes my friend and see what you think. Who wants in?
I'll be talking with booking agencies and the like with the hopes of finding clubs that feature this style of music. I'll play any local gig but finding blues audiences is key.
Sooooo..... If you don't have transportation, or if you have any drug alcohol or ego issues, don't waste our time. Also if you're just looking for a gig don't waste our time. You have to know and love the blues and understand the genre.
Take a listen to the tunes and give it some thought. You can reach me at bluerealitymusic@yahoo or 814 280 7375.
Thanks for taking the time!

Blues
Thanks MJB,
Like a lot of guys I started with a great love of the blues and branched out from there. People have always told me that I play the blues very well. Blues is just hard to sell in this area so I haven't pursued it heavily. After I did this recording, the blues came out so well that it seemed obvious that I need to move forward with it. I'm just going to have to look to travel.
I've had a bunch of people I respect listen to the music and everyone's opinion is that this should work in front of the right audience. I'm going to have to work hard to find the audiences. Blues has a devoted fan base, thus the Blues Societies that exist all of the world. So there are people who support the genre and the artists. So there is a chance for this to work. Given how the recording turned out and how well I play live, everyone has said I've gotta give this a shot.
Again thanks for the support.

Always had fun jammin with you and when jobs come up we'll give Tony a call and have a blast like last Friday night at Magoos. Are you still coming out to play a few tunes, ZZ top and Sabbath maybe, at the CD release party and bennefit sjhow on Sept 17? If so I have a copy of the disc for you. i'll send one in the mail if you want.
