Great story Joe, thanks. I didn't watch all of the video yet, but I will. My brother-in-law gave me a couple of his discs, darn good stuff.

One time when Billy Price was playing at the American Ale House in State College I had a brief conversation with him about his vocals with Roy Buchanan and how much I liked his version of Down By the River, and do you know that while he was very gracious regarding my compliments he told me that he was embarrassed by that work and he did not think his vocals then were very good. ??

I have also talked to Billy Price about Roy, actually several times. He said that he just happened to be around at the right time when they needed a vocalist. He was younger then and not very well known.

I was lucky enough to open for Billy at Tussey Mountain a couple years back with BluesMoon. He is a very humble guy. It's a good way to be, methinks :)

Did Altoona's "Louie Brumbaugh" hang with him for a while.

Both Tele masters.

I have heard that too. We need some of Louie's friends to verify. I think Louie is down in Florida now. He could play and bite a Tele equally well.
