Britney Spears - (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction
OUCH! This is one of the worst things I have ever heard.
This was on her album, Oops, I Did It Again. I wish she would not have done it the first time.

Per the post of the remake of Comfortably Numb this is hands down the worst version of that song...

This was on the charts for him in 1968.

That was horrid. The Winger version was pretty bad, too.moxham123 wrote:Dion - Purple Haze

Pour me another one, cause I'll never find the silver lining in this cloud.

The Dion cover was kind of cool in a weird kitsch type of way. I think he was struggling with the arrangement a little. Winger's cover was always technically awesome, but the whole thing lacked any type of soul. Though to be fair, I generally don't dig most Hendrix covers except SRV's. A lot of people just seem to miss something intangible when they cover Hendrix. I can't put my finger on it, but it always seems to be missing. I love RHCP, but I never dug their version of Fire - it had no groove because they played it so faster than the original. I know it's weird to say that RHCP played something without groove.
My vote for worst cover: Avril Lavigne's version of Chop Suey is pretty horrible: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aU5-pGKP0LE

Re: worst covers
Disturbed always does awesome covers. There's a cover out there of them doing Living After Midnight that rocks. Also, Godsmack really impressed me with their cover of Good Times, Bad Times. Sully Erna doesn't have Plant's range, but he still rocked it and their guitarist nailed Page's riffs like they were his own.lynch1 wrote:there are lots of bad covers out there, but I will tell you what I like Disturbed's cover of Land of Confusion and Five Finger Death Punch version of Bad Co. those were both better than the originals imo.

Disturbed's cover of "I still haven't found what I'm looking for" was good, in my opinion.bassist_25 wrote:Disturbed always does awesome covers.
