If you wanna discuss mining regulations then start a new fucking thread. And dont say "sos and so attacked my principals so i had to bring up mining regulations because it goes hand in hand with piss testing welfare recipiants." I dont care who attacked what. I just wanted to discuss florida's new law.

Why do you want to discuss Florida's new welfare law on a musical forum?

Sounds like a political topic to me, so don't act so surprised when a political discussion breaks out.

Boxer's Cafe in Huntingdon has the best freakin wings in the world. I've been eating those things for 15 years and NEVER had a wing less than absolutely delightful. The only thing that sucks is you can only get em on Tuesday evenings. So last night I burned one and went down ate me some of those succulent bastards, 21, in fact. MMMMM, I could eat em til I explode.

I HATE the thought of any more government rule in our lives. BUT people who abuse the system make the problem. And indulging in drugs while you are on welfare is ABUSE. Especially if you buy them and don't spend the money on your kid.
Sadly people are not generally stand up. There are too many lazy people who will do anything to buck the system because they think the are owed something. But the government is funded by taxes. and working people pay them.

Simple math, y'all.

If you need help buying food, you shouldnt be spending money on weed, crack, or whatever. This IMHO is a fantastic idea. If you gotta piss in a cup to work, you should have to do it to get free money...

I think it's bullshit to have to piss in a cup for anyone. Let's make everyone take piss tests, that'll straighten everything out. Why does everyone care so goddamn much about what everyone else is doing in their private time. I say get rid of drug testing all together, not add more. I don't give a rats ass what welfare bums do on their time, I'm more concerned with my right to do what I what with my body (on my own time) and still have my job.

As far as private businesses not wanting their employees working under the influence, do we really not have the technology to verify if someone is under the influence RIGHT NOW as opposed to sometime between now and last month?

Sorry for ranting, not minding your own business is a pet peeve of mine.

I think you missed the point. It's more about someone spending the money on drugs, then can't afford food. If you can afford food & crack and the taxpayers dont have to pay for your food, whatever buddy, have fun. No, welfare is a necessary "evil" man. A free society must be a humane society. Some people really need the help, and if you refuse them you turn them into animals. You'll drive them to crime. That only makes situation worse.

What we need is welfare reform. Get the fraud out, get the true deadbeats out, and reserve it for those that truly need the help.

Ps there will always be fraud and waste in any system (govt as well as private sector). but don't throw the baby out with the bathwater.

We need Social Security. We need Medicare. We need Employment insurance. We need Welfare.

Even ROME saw the necessity of a welfare sys..
