Any Rockpage Bicycle Riders ?

Post by Hawk »

What's your distance / speed level ?

I just started riding again after years of saying I would but not doing it. I have a road bike that needs "fixed" up and a mountain bike that's trail / road ready.

Anyone up for a group ride on the lower trail (Wiliiamsburg to Waterstreert) ? Or any other rides ?

hey hawk i just road the lower trail sunday. whata great bike trail. Tim Homerski and I ride all the time . Tim is a very accomplished rider goes like 20 miles every day. I go almost every day. hey andy rhody also rides . sounds like a fun time we can have guitars etc at stop off points to play sing a couple songs and continue on. I often kayak down the juniata or yougheghenny or pine creek[ grand canyon] pa and then ride bike back. good luck jerry

Bill, my knees and my Cannondale mountain bike are ready. The knees will need an ice bag right after the ride, and a couple of Advils before.

PM me when you want to go. Randy Stiffler would probably want to go too.

I love biking, anytime there is a group ride put together let me know I would be interested. I haven't been on the saddle as much this year as I'd like to be but ready to go whenever. On a side note if you like Rails to trails trips I went from Pittsburgh to DC (330 miles) on the trails in 3.5 days and it was a great ride so any sections there are very nice to do. Ohiopyle area was probably one of the more scenic areas but also the most populated. the mason dixon line area was less populated and amazing views.

I am going to be trying out the Raystown trail this weekend... the one that is at seven points marina, I hear it is a smooth trail ride and about 30 miles. I'll let you all know how it is. not sure if i'll be riding saturday or sunday, just depends on the weather.

I could get a 20 mile ride in, but not in this 90 degree heat. As I get older, I cannot handle the heat like I used to. As a kid on the farm, we would hay all day, all summer out in this kind of heat and keep going.

I been wanting to get a bike myself. The Rails and Trails, I hear is a good place to go to. I walked it a couple of times, but I do think that a bike ride down it would be nice.
