Even though they were ACTUALLY formed in 1989..... Fear Factory. They didn't really become the band we recognize until the 90's. And thank god!!! With a decade of the overly-saturated, Nirvana-lead, alternative movement....they provided some much needed relief to my bleeding ears!!
great RP thread!! glad you're digging your old fender. i used to use a 59 bassman reissue as my main amp but last year in 2 days time a 67 blackface deluxe reverb came into my life, all original down to the vynal cover, foot switch and the very next day a 68 deluxe reverb that was a buddy of mines that passed away and was offered to me to buy and i couldn't say no. ..i had the 67 worked on.. new filter caps andsome power tubes, anew poswer cord and she just sounds so sweet...but last 2 gigs shes been cutting out on me and i've been having to switch out. probobly something simple just haven't had the time to mess with it. man, i love the old fenders. ithe 67 is so mint that at first i didnt want to play it just figured i'd hand on to it as kind of an investment but then i thought: thats fuckin stupid, this amp needs to be played! man it sounds so sweet. those amps are like my kids; whenever the subject comes up i just want to talk about them like some proud daddy. lol

Which one did I play harp through? I like that one... mostly creamy and sweet, but hit the mic hard, and I got the tiniest amount of grind on the fronts of the notes, just enough edginess to define the notes a little more. I may have to record with that one someday. We need to get together and play, I should come to J-town for one of the blues gatherings.
Indigenous. Native American family from South Dakota, playing blues/rock. The guitarist Mato Nanji, sounds like Hendrix and SRV, having a guitar duel, and the listener is the winner.
Live. Great songwriting hooks and drama from guys who worked their asses off to get up the ladder.
Blues Traveler. You'd think I'd be all about the virtuoso harmonica, and it's cool, but the songs are why I can still listen today. Flash tends to get outdated quickly for me.
Derek Trucks Band. Blues. Jazz. East Indian Qawwali. Jamband. They're expert at all those genres. Listen, and find out.
Hands down - Rage Against the Machine. I love angry music.
I've always told my wife, if I'm ever in a coma and you're wondering whether to pull the plug, put some headphones on me playing RATM, and I will wake up!
