So the alleged "rapture" date came and went, and I visited the Christian Science Monitor website and a few other religious sites, and the kook who started this whole thing, Harold Campings has mysteriously taken his website down.

Wonder if perhaps someone should check on him and his followers to make sure they didn't go all Jonestown. Even though they were a bunch of dumbasses, a mass suicide would seriously suck.
Rapture passes...

Yea... how does evolution in action suck?
I love "the world is gonna end" nutjobs. Isnt this the same guy that people donated all that money to? Some like 70 some million? If it is he sure isnt dumb.
Can you identify a genital wart?
You know,... Arby's wouldn't've been bad for a last meal. That day wouldn't've been a bad last day, save for not seeing a few people before the end. But I'm glad my pessimism on predictions like these is more accurate to the truth. Still,... I have to wonder how many people spiked their kool-aid before 6PM that day. And on top of that, I have to wonder how many people gave everything they had, knowing "God was causing the end" on this day!

At least now I'll get my birthday in before we all burn.
When I was in New York state a couple of weekends ago, a friend and I visited former Q94 owner Ed Sherlock, who now owns an AM radio station in Cobleskill, about 30 miles west of Albany/Schenectady. It was the weekend of the supposed end of the world. We stopped by the station before we met up with Ed for dinner, and while there, I recorded the following weather forecast, which aired all of that Saturday night:
"Here is your WSDE weather forecast for Cobleskill and all of Schoharie County...Rapture warning in effect for the entire WSDE listening area. Scattered showers of molten rocks and hot ash. Boiling asphalt will make driving conditions difficult. Tomorrow, NOTHING, since the world is ending and won't be here...Have a nice evening from WSDE."
Ed finally heard the forecast air during the Yankee game after we did dinner, and he laughed his butt off! He said he would probably hear about it on Monday, since it aired during the Yankee game (a lot of his listening audience tune in for the Yankees, since the televised games are mostly only available by paid subscription and the radio broadcasts are free).
We recorded the forecast; if I can get the mp3 of it, I'll see about posting a link to it on here.

We got a fortune cookie that told us it wasn't going to happen.
