Suhr Aldrich pickups+Les Paul+Modded Marshall=

Post by The Shadow »

Another shitty clip for folks to ignore.

Gibson Les Paul Traditional Pro with Suhr Aldrich pickups into Voodoo Amps Jose HG modded 1987x plexi. Cab is a Marshall JCM 800 4x12 with G12-T75's. Mic is a Superlux ECC 83 into audacity. Single tracked one take.

That sounds nice. I like the clarity and the sustain.

I prefer this to the original tone. 8)

I think the Gibson pickups were wired incorrectly from the factory. That being said the Suhr pickups kick all kinds of ass. They are like a JB with more of everything you like about a JB and none of the bad stuff.

The pickup tone really brings out the cowbell.

Seriously, I love those 1987x amps. Awesome sound, always. I'll have to look into the mod you had done.
