starting a band

Dear RPers,
I'm currently attempting to start my own band. I'm a bass player, and have been playing for a little over a year now. I'll be honest, I'm not that great, but I'm willing to work very hard to accomplish this. It'd be cool to at least jam with people, and maybe get a band going out of that. The only thing I ask is that people be over 18. I'm 22, and if we would start a band I would like to play at bars and such, and being over 18 just makes that trip a lot easier. I like all different types of music, not much of a country fan, but I'm up for anything.

Well i wouldnt say anything...metalcore is out such as: as i lay dying all that remains killswitch engage and along those lines :p id ask u to join my band but i know u wont play those styles...other than that id say robinhood is a great addition to the team if ur willing to give her a shot...good luck robin

Well we have most of a jam band in Bedford. Need a bass player though. What happened to you and Skeezer? Would you want to come out and jam sometime?

heartshadow, who are you? and swingmaster, i'm not sure about it cuz gas is just rediculous :/ and ok i didnt think about metalcore, hes got a point, but really anything else goes. and swingmaster, i didnt make the cut for the other band.

well craven, I can play a good bit, and I'm pretty good at figuring stuff out, or at least close to it. But I can play a good bit of Judas Priest tunes, working on some Maiden tunes(steve harris is one of my heros),
