The guy behind this one has tried it before, I think in 1994, and nothing happened. I'm not sure which Bible "guarantees" that judgement is this weekend, but I've read several passages that indicate that true prophets aren't wrong.

Moreover, the bible indicates that NOBODY knows when judgement will occur. Jesus said that even He didn't know.

This thing gets me pretty riled up. As a Christian, it breaks my heart to see loudmouth nutjobs giving the general public the wrong idea about Christianity.

If you want to know what the Bible guarantees, read it.

The Millerites will be out in droves on Saturday. I wonder what they will do Sunday morning?

I kinda hope Jesus shows up that day. ToonaRockGuy's gardener, I mean. The rain made the grass grow at an exponential rate. The other Jesus? If He says when He's coming back for sure, people would just repent an hour beforehand, and that ain't the way the whole thing's supposed to work. Believe me, I've done the math...
If it happens, I hope it waits until Mama Corn's set is finshed at the Arts Fest. No, wait, after R2B2's set. I wanna see them, too.

Yeah, the guy and anyone who believes him are nutbars. He has tried the same thing several times. It would be so horrible if his system made any sense, but it doesnt. Check out how he got the date. He just made up numbers and assigned them to what he thought. Seriously, check it out.

The fact that people take the KJV bible and expect what it says to be correct is amazing to me. If you care so much about your faith, get a better translation! LEARN what the Bible actually says!
Oh, and quit saying the name "Jesus". That isnt his name. Never was, never will be. There werent even "J's" in his time. His name was "Yeshua". Thats his name. Do your research brothers. Id feel pretty bad if someone called me the wrong name for this long.

Anyway, Harold Camping might as well have gotten his 'end of the world' prophecy off a cereal box. So sayeth the apple jacks.

See you all on sunday ;)

My understanding is that "Yeshua" translates to "Jesus".

It doesn't matter if it sounds like it. Name another language that translates to something in english and sounds similar to the englsh word.

You'd think the name of the savior and God's son would be kept in tact, and need no lazy translating. Wouldnt it mean more to call him by his real name?

Lots of words sound like the original when they have been translated into lazy english. You should know that...youre the one in college...not me. HAHA!

I don't know about your church, but my church, we do call him by his proper name and modern name.

It is also not the case with lazy english. You won't find a word in another language that sounds similar to the english word, unless you are speaking pig latin, then you will get close. There is a little bit of lazy english in this country, that if for sure. I blame the education system for that, though.

I dont go to church.
If I did, Id want to go to one that actually preaches what the hebrew bible says, not the KJV which is full of mistranslations and errors.
Atleast grab an original language direct to english version. That way, you actually read what was intended, or atleast much closer to it. Biblical scholars will tell you that the KJV has mistranslations and errors. Sometimes, its a really huge mistranslation.

Sometimes changing and updating things to be "modern" are bad. Especially when it comes to something like your entire belief foundation. Id think people would wanna keep that the way it was all originally intended. Wouldnt that mean more? Instead of a changed, updated and modern version?

Honestly, if we were to keep it with the total original, we probably wouldnt be reading the Bible, but ancient Sumerian texts and other writing from all over the world from waaaay before the bible times.
