I believe in letting fellow musicians know when I've been dicked around by a retailer, so here goes:

I need an FB4 footswitch for my Line 6 Flextone Plus amp. Found one at MusicGoRound.com for $40 plus $20 shipping (which seemed like a lot for shipping something so small, but whatever) and ordered it. After ordering I took a closer look at the picture of the item and noticed that it said "FBV4" across the front while the header for the ad clearly read "FB4". Not the item I wanted and not compatible with my amp. So I called up Music Go Round, explained things and asked to have my money refunded. The manager, a guy named Phil, told me it would be no problem and he would refund the money.

Next day I check my account and the money still isn't there and I've received an email from Pay Pal saying the item has shipped. I called Music Go Round again. This time Phil apologized for the screw up and assured me the item had not shipped and he would refund my money immediately, saying it should be credited within the hour.

Two hours later, still no money. Call Music Go Round AGAIN. This time I get an employee who tells me Phil is gone for the day. I ask if he can call Phil and find out what's going on and get back to me. He said no problem, and that he would call me back in a few minutes.

That was three hours ago and I still haven't heard from them and still don't have my money back.

At this point, whether they give me my refund or not, I've come to the conclusion that the people at Music Go Round are either completely incompetent or assholes who don't give a fuck about customer service. Either way, I strongly recommend that you NOT do business with these people. I realize sometimes business gets crazy and you've got a hundred things on your plate, but this is ridiculous. :evil: :evil: :evil:

And depending on how things go, there might be an FBV4 footswitch for sale on here soon.

Damn!! That sucks! I've had run ins with a lot on ebay, but fortuanately the only vendor I buy from is Musicians Friend or local at Ford and Music Emporium. I've had great with all.

Update: They did FINALLY refund my money, but I still give this a doofus factor of about 8.5.

I ordered an FB4 footswitch from someone on Ebay who looked like a reliable seller. Got the footswitch today and discovered...whoops! No cable! Kinda useless without it! ARGH. If I had a nickel for every time I've been screwed from doing business online...I'd put them in a sock and beat someone to death with 'em.

I must retract my earlier complaint about the lack of a cable for the footpedal. I thought it would be something unique I'd have to order from Line 6 that would cost a zillion bucks or something, but fortunately it takes a standard CAT5 cable, so that's no problem.

...but everything ELSE is still nickel-filled-sock-beating worthy.
