I am having serious latency issues.
Cubase is working wonderfuly with all of my VST's, but my Audio (Guitar, Bass, and Vocals) is at least a full second behind. I purchased a 3/4 to USB guitar cable tonight to see if I gave it a straight connection if it would stop. Sadly, I can't seem to get Cubase to recognize the cable. The computer knows that it is there with its PnP Technology, but when I hit record on Cubase it doesn't do a damn thing.
Anyone? Help?

What are the specs on your computer?
Use this audio driver: http://www.asio4all.com/
The latency comes from the buffer size and bad computer specs can cause latency and skips also.
Lower the buffer size so you can get to 12 milliseconds of latency or below. Thats for recording.
When its mixing time, Raise that buffer!
ALSO....In any recording program, you have to set your ins and outs to be able to use a recording interface. Im not very familiar with Cubase, Killjingle from here uses Cubase he might be able to help.
Allthough, id suggest posting on the official Cubase forum for the fastest and best advice.
You could always try Reaper

Other programs have actually allowed for latency issues with Cubase such as Drumagog and actually recommend using fixed their latency version. I have never really had any trouble but I dont use anything real CPU intensive when I am using Cubase.
Id try the forum too.

I am able to record like this...
Guitar > RP90 > Mixer > PC
I am getting about a seconds worth of latency this way.
I bought a USB Guitar Cable trying to eliminate the chain, but I don't know where in Cubase to activate the USB Port. It doesn't register anywhere.
