The old sKool Quote of the Week: A Retrospective

Post by bassist_25 »

Often times when a new year passes, certain institutions will publish "Year End Reviews" highlighting the most memorable events that occured within the previous twelve months. With that in mind, I decided that there were enough memorable old sKoolisms to create a "Best of" collection. While it is a regular occurence for Kenny to expatiate a number of high quality profoundities (many which have found their way into college philosophy textbooks) during any given gig or rehearsal, there, unfortunatley, can only be one weekly old sKool quote. So here it is, the best of the best. These are the insights that not only embellished the field of epistemology, but redefined it all together.

Best of old sKool: 2004

---------------------------------

"Remember - It ain't cool if it ain't old sKool" - old sKool

"I am old sKool, and I approve of this setlist" - old sKool when presented with the gig's setlist

"This is the Valley, the house that old sKool built" - old sKool philosophizing about the women situation at the Valley Inn

".....And then I asked myself what would Uncle Jesse do?" - old sKool when confronted with his latest quizzical predicament: Paper or plastic?

"It's all gonna come down to Elvis and pancakes" - old sKool when asked about his predictions of the upcoming presidential election

"Use what the experts use; use 'Bitch Be Gone'" - old sKool promoting his latest product promising to expunge households of unwanted parasites

"Man, I feel like I should be mean and swear a lot; it's like being in the Bloods or the Crips - you have certain obligations" - old sKool's exaimination of wearing a Pantera shirt

"And God said, 'The lame shall inherit the Earth'" - old sKool when accused of being lame by an internet troll
"He's the electric horseman, you better back off!" - old sKool making a reference to the culturally relevant 1979 film.
