Line 6 Floor Pod Plus
Has anyone used this?
My issue is this, i love my strat. and dont really wanna use any other guitar. sooo for me to play different styles of music i need something like this (im assuming). i dont want to have 18 pedals all linked together and dragging around a ton of patch cables etc etc.
so i looked at some different floor pods (correct term?) and thought, price wise and by the description this lil guy could be a good solution (for me). i dont need anything crazy, i want a distorted sound, my clean sound, a lil something something for lead work.
ohh ya, and i play out of a hotrod deluxe (if that helps lol)
thoughts?? thanks in advance!

I was playing around with one at Rainbow Music, I liked it. It is a Pod 2.0 put into a floor model. When I was deciding on what processor I want, I was going between a FPP and the HD500. I chose the HD500 because it has more to offer and it is a newer model. But, if some one gave me a Floor Pod Plus, I would gladly take it and use it.

Your Hot Rod Deluxe has a clean sound, an overdriven sound AND the overdriven sound driven even further. You can set it up for exactly what you are looking for.
All you need is a 2 button footswitch.

You are morethan welcome to come by my place and try my line 6 pod xt live.......
If I were you Kayla, I'd look into the higher end models like the xt live I have or whatever the current model is. More control and tweaking options..hell, I still don't know everything mine can do LOL. I've heard some great patches but I can never seem to be able to dial something like that in. Plus I like the ability to link to my computer via usb & record whenever I want.

I've been using line 6 gear since 2002, and I've owned literally every single floor pod theyve made. If you are looking for the most bang for your buck, get the POD HD 300 at $329. I currently use the hd 500, and absolutely love it. IMO, the fpp kinda sounds like poo no matter how well it is tweaked. Also, with any preamp pedal you deciide to go with, I recommend plugging your guitar into the front end of the pedal, then the pedal's output to the power amp in of your amp. Hooking the pod to the guitar in on your amp will "double preamp" your signal, letting the fender's preamp color whatever other model you try. In general, this sounds terrible as well. It can be made to sound decent, but..... well, the hd series is rather difficult to program to begin with. If you do decide to go with the hd300 let me know on here, and id be happy to help point you in the right direction

From the limited time I spent with an XT or X3 (I never owned one), I first saw it to be a little bit easier. Once I got around the minor features, it became really easy. I have to also say that they made the lcd screen easier to read. The old way looked like a jumbled mess. This one is a little more neat. It also looks bigger?stratobastard27 wrote:Did you find tthe learning curve a LOT steeper that the xt and x3?

I had a hell of a time figuring out how to properly set uo the voluume and wah. I don't understand why they didn't just set those two up as defaults? Also, I still haven't figured how to completely build a patch manually. I've used the HD edit on the computer. I've pretty well gotten that figured out by now. All in all though, I am still in awe of the definition of the tones. They really nailed the tube feel and sag. I just run mine straight into the board with inears.
