Some pics of lastnight's Eclipse!

Post by KeithReynolds »

Im no pro photographer as you can see. We took about 30 pics and some came out really crappy. We used no flash and it was tough to stay perfectly still while being out in the freezing ass cold. Any small movement made crazy looking things.
I was an amazing event to watch. I had never seen one before. It was really awesome to see the red moon.

Keith, are those pictures on their sides? When I seen it,I thought it was going from the top of the moon down.

Nope, thats exactly how I witnessed it with my eyes also. It came in from the left to right.

I dont know if the elevation here or being an hour distance from you would make a difference or not.

Hahaha, I just thought of something.....you watched the end of it didnt you? The pics I took are from the beginning between 1:35-3 am or so. Maybe what you saw was the end of it. So it would make sense that the moon started to show from around the top to down, as it was being uncovered by then. I was in bed by the time it started to be uncovered, so I dont have pics of that.
Im pretty sure I saw it come in, and you witnessed it leaving.

Yeah. They're pretty cool. I used my dads this year and took a doe out with it. I love the weather in archery season.
