Stolen Mics

Post by P MAC »

My trailer was jacked last night and a box full of 30 plus mics (you do the math) was stolen. Please keep your ears and eyes open. Most of the mics are sm 57 or sm 58, but there were some others as well including Sennheiser and AKG drum mics. Any info would be greatly appreciated. And to the bastards responsible, Merry Christmas, your time will come.

Sorry to hear that, man. Your story go tme thinking about a tip for everyone out there. I worked at a studio that would bar-code all their gear. One on the back, and one on the chasis, INSIDE. So if anything ever turned up in a pawn shop, odds are the theives wouldn't pop it open and remove the inner code. Just food for thought, I guess.

Laugh if you want to, really is kinda funny, 'cause the world is a car and you're the crash test dummy.

We play often in the Altoona area including several gigs over the next couple weeks. We will definitely keep a look out and if anybody offers us any mics for sale, I will contact you immediately.

I'll keep my eyes peeled, too. You didn't have them in a box marked "MICROPHONES," did you? I heard of that years ago... kinda paints a target on them. Those SKB mic cases probably have the same effect. I keep mine in something you'd never think had anything of value in. Galaxy used to keep gear in Red Cross military cases marked, "Human Blood." Nobody messed with that stuff. I also saw a touring band's gear truck had a very large "Biohazard-- Hospital Waste" placard on the back door. I know I wouldn't mess with that, no matter how dopesick I could be. :) --->JMS

SORRY I READ THIS POST A LIL LATE.
I did a lil walmart stocking shopping after work last night, and while motering to my vehicle a pair of white boys pulled up in a Dodge neon slathered in primer paint with the tail fin of a F-!5 asked if I wanted to buy some speakers or some pro DJ mics.

As far as Pro Dj mics....................well I'll give ya that one. Keep in mind those were their words not mine. As far as attracting friends of the strange....... I know most of you so keep that in mind.
The hood of the car was primer red and the shitbang driving had a I'm trying to have a pubic facial experience hair thing going on. Big thing that I can remember was a camo hoodie with patches sewed on the hood. the tail fin of the Dodge was Red
