I checke in at prosoundweb, a board for pro production people, and they said it was a complete technical clusterhump. Nobody had any monitors at all, a computer must have glitched, and took out the mixing software or something, and they didn't have an adequate Plan B. This time, it probably wasn't her fault... she does seem to have songsmith-luck, doesn't she?--->JMS
yeah i watched that!! it was hilarious once again!!! you could here the backing tracks over her(which was what she was singing) and you could tell that she knew something was wrong, she had that worried look on her face. And the crowded booed the hell out of her!! i thought it was quite funny!!!

Yeah... if you didn't know, Mr Bongos is the reason she's gone astray...like the D-man is the reason that miss jackson had her clothing malfunction. i don't trust those boys at all. ::grins:: (love ya!)
I do have to say this though...as much as i dislike this girl and all the sex-crazed-fakingbrittspearswannabe's girls... i have to feel bad for this girl. she did have a "nice voice" and this pretty much scarred her career. like..2 certain guys who used their back up singers for their voices and lip-sinked (brain fart, can't think of their names right now)

This either seems to be happening a lot lately, or maybe we happen to jump on it more since the SNL incident.
Like, did anyone catch Motley Crue's performance on those video game awards a couple weeks ago? The chorus backing track was badly out of time when they played Dr. Feelgood, and the band struggled to pull it back together. And having the rest of the band's mics turned off didn't help.
Sure, a backing track for the chorus might not be as bad, but it sure didn't help their reputation for the whole "reunion" thing, for a band already on the edge of being called washed up. Hell, why couldn't they just sing the damn chorus to begin with and avoid all the hassle and risk?

Well, lets give her semi benefit of doubt here. Let's just say she is having some body function troubles. Acid reflux is causing her to have a bad time at shinging so she is forced to use laid vocals until she's better. What would you do? Would you do the same thing if you had the advantage of having these things at your finger tips?
Granted, for as much fuss as she was making about "That's not just me...I'm an all natural singer"....and then this happens, it's like she was getting her come-uppins for being a snot about it. But if we were in the same position, would we depend on a machine to sing for us until our voice/body was better?

hmmmm
Personally, I'd call off sick before I would sing to a backing track. I just enjoy being a player/singer, not an actor.
I also can't stand the use of the Karaoke backing thing that solo people do a lot down here. It's one thing to have a drum machine, but a full blown band including 2 "other" guitar parts and backing vocals all sequenced through midi and thrown on an ipod? Come on now. (No offense to anyone up there that does it, I just don't prefer it).

And, I'm not a singer but I do know a little bit about acid reflux. Did not think this problem would affect vocal chords. Take a Nexium and for god sakes stay away from Dwane and his acid reflux.
yes, but a singer with more class, professional maturity, and manners wouldn't have blamed her band publicly. But if we were in the same position, would we depend on a machine to sing for us until our voice/body was better?

That is why everyone should just do metal.

::laughs:: and lets give a hand to jae, the answerer of all problems
i agree though... that was heinous that she blamed the band. i did love the looks and their laughing from the snl show when she ran off the stage and they kept playing. i think whever she sold her soul to in the music industry, she should get a refund.

Refund my ass, she got everything she deserved for even trying the tricks she uses. If you're going to do it, then do it. If her band can't sing to fill in the holes, hire back-up singers...just don't wuss out!
