So, we get Billy Joel and no Nine Inch Nails. Billy Joel never pushed the envelope or developed a new genre or a unique performance style..... Beyonce OR Alicia Keys, NOT both. I love Aerosmith but they should not be ahead of Black Sabbath, even by a little. There were bands like Aerosmith before Aerosmith. NOBODY like Sabbath til Sabbath. Would rather see Lenny Kravitz over Justin Timberlake. Very cool to see Depeche Mode on there. Oh well, put a hundred monkeys in a room with lap tops and this is what you get. Not so bad really.
I've always felt that lists like this one are pointless because who the best is depends on who you ask. The only thing you can really rank artists by is how much they've earned and even that is often disputed.
And who gives a fuck what VH-1 thinks anyway.
