Looking for local musicians for local band
My name is blaine I play drums and I have semi formed a band near saxton pa. We really need to get this going. We are not going for covers that much. We mostly want to work on original stuff though we will attempt a few covers here and there. As of right now we have a drummer and guitarist for sure. We have a singer and a screamer that we are not to sure about currently. We are looking for a guitarist (you and the other guitarist would be doing the same amount of work), bassist, and possibly a keyboardist We want to do stuff from metal - blues. I will name off some bands that you will most likely not know but it can give you a vague idea. Killswitch engage, children of bodom, slipknot, twisted method, stevie rae vaughen ( guitarist likes blues), alice in chains. I believe that was long enough to give a good idea. Anyway we want people that will want to practice not make up excuses every time. We practice near broad top. Though we can meet you in Saxton and most likely drive you down the rest of the way and back. I believe that would be all. Do not email me... My email is messed up.

You posted
You first posted on October 26th and it is only the first of November. You need to have some patience and faith that what your doing is worth doing. People get a sense for confidence and it goes a long way.
Hope it works out well for you.

Re: You posted
I was joking. I also posted about 3 of these in the last year and a half. I have got like 1 response. I also want to do something musically which is hard as one person. But thank you.tornandfrayed wrote:You first posted on October 26th and it is only the first of November. You need to have some patience and faith that what your doing is worth doing. I've been down to Saxton, which I believe is at the southern tip of Raystown Lake, and it seems like an area where it would be difficult to put together a band. I don't imagine their are a lot of musicians down that way, but I could be wrong.
Wish I could help you out. If I hear of anyone out that way that might be interested, I will certainly send them your way!

We have a band from Saxton called Shallow9 and took us almost 6 months to find a lead singer and she travels from hollidaysburg so traveling is def. a must for either side of the room as far as basing a band out of saxton. It is def. tough to do as I've done it from Saxton for a little over 8 years now during two different bands. Takes alot of time and patience but just have to stay focused and have faith and be consistent in trying. Good things come to those who wait is what I was always told and so far it has worked out for me.

Yeah, but I live further in the woods than that. About 20 minutes from saxton. It is really hard to find people around here. I keep looking. I guess either I will find people here or if I move I may find people.FrigoRecording wrote:I've been down to Saxton, which I believe is at the southern tip of Raystown Lake, and it seems like an area where it would be difficult to put together a band.
