The illegal alien BY DEFINITION is un-American.

Of course, this is far too black and white, cut and dry, objective, logical and to-the-point for most progressives or liberals to comprehend.

Why can't I get an opinion on this in the other political thread ?
My question was, "Why are the Republicans and the chamber of commerce against this ?

Here is a direct quote from Obama.
"There is no reason why our tax code should actively reward them for creating jobs overseas," Obama said. "Instead, we should be using our tax dollars to reward companies that create jobs and businesses within our borders."

Seems to me Frank, this is a good thing. Why would the Republicans be against it ? Now do you support Obama ?

Frank: "Hell, if Obama would announce today that he is going to go with tax breaks I would support him on it".

Of course. The purpose was to draw out a discussion relative to people who can afford to buy insurance but choose not to. I'm sorry you missed the point.

Now give me your opinion on those people who choose to NOT buy health insurance and there by pass the cost on to the rest of us. We are subsidising them.

EDIT: Actually I believe you knew the point of the question but choose to pretend otherwise, taking it to it's literal and silly conclusion with your answer. Perhaps even taking a shot at levity ?

One of the few things that I at least partially agree with Obama. My difference is that I don't believe that there should be any incentives or disincentives in the tax code, just the same low tax rate for all, with the same significant initial exemption for all that tends to help lower income people.

Why? Because the economy is far too complex of a system for politicians to determine what should be an incentive or a disincentive. Their opinions are always either populist or politically motivated and nearly always have unintended results that are worse than the original condition. The free market is much more efficient at weeding this out.

With regards to the COC and Republicrats, your question is framed and loaded with a progressive bias. It is not a matter of preferring one corporate type over another, it is a matter of their stated preference for lower taxes for all--if only it wasn't just lip service.

I suppose there was a little levity intended; however, in the case that you stated, there is a private sector solution that can and is pursued by hospitals. If somebody is actively making a good taxable income and refuses to pay the hospital bill, the hospital should take legal measures to collect the money. They can file liens and take legal action. Under this pressure, the individuals can negotiate a lower bill ($96K for a few hours in a hospital is ludicrous--the main reason they can charge these kind of bills is because of government meddling and blind reliance on insurance.)

After such an experience, slackers might think twice about not having insurance.

Jeff I always like reading your posts.. cause you always seem to get right down to it and, you tell it from both sides like a ref.

I like how you perceive things in most cases..

I like when HAWK gets on here and shoots his mouth off too.. it's way too entertaining, not to read.. I say let everyone speak! Fuck guys who CAN afford health insurance, don't buy any and then, rape the system. I CAN'T afford it and, I need it more than some! The only times I have not paid my hospital bills is when: Exp. 1. I sat for hours only for the doc to say.. there's nothing wrong with you.. you can go.. and 2. When I burnt my eye.

Yeah I burnt my eye dude! and it sucked.. I burning piece of a cigarette cherry flew into my eye and burnt two spots on my pupil that you could easily see.

So I figure.. I better go to the ER right! Well when I got there I was seen by three different nurses first. I figured they were busy, and they would send a different one in every hour or so to make it appear to me, that my case was being taken care of. We all know that, is just the song and dance they play while their waiting on the doctor that's taking her good old time, down the hall with the elderly woman that has sciatica.
That sciatica isn't going away lady! Meanwhile my eye is burning out of my skull.

The Doctor finally comes after almost 4 hours.. only to find out that she is a young Physicians Assistant.. like younger than me 25-28. Aren't the Doctors already supposed to have an idea of what the issue is, before they come in your room.. well she had no idea.. so I told her what happened.
Apparently she didn't listen to me when I said that it was a burn spot on my eyeball.
She looked scared. She looked at my eye in the machine and grabbed a Q-tip and was sticking it into my eye, and moving it all around.

I had to stop her!

I said what are you doing? She said "Trying to move the ash"

I almost got pissed and really flipped out.. but I calmly said " I told you, it was a burn spot"
She gave me this vaseline like gel to put in my eye and it was horrible... my eye was worse yet! They then discharged me!

I went to the Optometrist the next day, and he said throw that tube of gel away. He gave me two different drops to put in my eye and, it was back to 100% in two days.

I will gladly pay Mr. Optometrist for his greatness but I'm not going to pay the Hospital for shitty treatment... NEVER! Health is God given, and also taken away. Think about that! and I'm out.
Recording Records DIY, with more than one good song. Watch for my new band
