Man Vs. Food - Help us

Post by Lisa »

Trying to get Man Vs. Food to come out to the Popper and take us up on our 31" pizza challenge. If you would, go and comment or rate the posting on their message board in hopes that they notice our little place in the middle of nowhere :) Bring them back to Clearfield County!

My luck, there'd be some loophole and Id have to end up paying for the thing. No thanks.

I wanted to try the 2pound burger challenge @ Denny's in Clearfield. I just dont think I have the cojones. I can do the Pounder no prob, but 2pounder is just HUGE.

No loopholes. Pretty much straight forward. It is about a 11-12 pound pizza. Its topped with pepperoni, sausage, ham, and bacon (really tasty). You have to order it 24 hours in advance with a $25 deposit.

If two people finish it in one hour, they get the deposit back and $100. If you don't finish it, you have to pay the balance of the cost of $25 ($50 total for the pizza).

Too simple to have loopholes :)

I'd eat 1 and 1/2 if it was just an extra cheese pizza.

We cut it in 8 slices....but it doesn't matter how you slice it...it is still 11-12 lbs of pizza :)

Uhmmm....why wouldn't you trust the meat from places? Just curious....we make sure ours is good...in fact, we eat it ourselves so why would we not have good meat?? In fact, with our NY strips...you can cut it off of the loin yourself if you want...how many places would do that? I wouldn't recommend you eat meat from a place that sells a little of it, but if you go to places like ours that serves a lot of it (like our steaks on Friday and Saturday evenings), you get fresh, quality meat.

Anyway....a guy will be ordering the pizza for a group of folks tomorrow..you can stop out around lunch and check it out...of course, he may not get all the toppings because he's not doing the challenge. But everyone that has had the pizza says it is very good.

Ive just worked in too many resturants and seen alot of behind the scenes stuff for my own good. I just dont/wont go out to eat often, and when I do, im very selective on what I take a chance on. Unless its Taco Bell!! There could be rats in taco bell's food and I dont think id care!!

When I was in Atlanta staying with a buddy of mine, his wife insisted on eating at Taco Bell every night! For the two months I stayed there, that is all we ate. I came home and refused to eat there again, I still refuse eat it; and that was 10 years ago ..
