Who taught you?

I meant to mention that I did take a few real lesson when I was in my late 20s, from Pat McGraw. I wasn't the best student because I was so used to learning song by ear and memorizing them. But I did learn to read a little.

I did learn a lot from watching Pat play back it the Fire and Rain days. They were my favorite band and some of the best guys that ever played in this area, both musician-wise and persnoally.

Pat and I had a long discussions about music, especially on our trips to D.C. to see Danny, and Pat has always been an inspiration to me.

I have received lessons from Jason Feathers (still taking them), John Charney and Ric Criste. I will go down as the worstest student for all 3.

I wanted to play drums ever since I was a little kid....probably about 7 years old, used to play on a lazy boy recliner with them hit stix things....remember those? Anyway did the school band thing at 9 years old, started my formal training....then all through high school, I learned from Jason Burkle, drummer extraordinaire....then after school, just self taught, and watching the best drummers and working the rudiments....then along came inspiration in forms of Bill Hocherl, Randy Sciarrillo, and other locals and here I am today. Always constantly trying new things, learning as much as possible, working on things that you feel like you'd never be able to play.....i love it.
