Hell, this song sounds IDENTICAL to every other Buckcherry song. Enough about screwing all night long, or getting drunk, or getting high, or doing coke, screwing all night long, getting drunk, high, screwing all night long, getting drunk. Wow...this reply is kinda like a Buckcherry song...repetitive!

i can't stomach them
You basically asked me what music I play that is more impressive than Buck Cherry and I answered you. There is Metallica songs I can't play even though I've tried some of them for a couple decades......yet I can learn Buck Cherry's entire musical career in less than a day.vindicator wrote:metallica ...talk about a cliche..they sold out long ago..like about TWENTY yearsagosstuckey wrote:Wanna start with Metallica? That is why I asked some one to refresh my memory.ShedShred wrote:I can't believe you guys didn't notice that this is no surrender... even a casual lurker like me knows that no surrender always uses the abbreviation 'smthg' which was used in one of the posts on this thread...oh well, makes for interesting reading.
I do have to say one thing. Anyone who likes one type of music and one band only is not a real music lover and has no place to voice any opinions on the matter. Which is what "no surrender here is doing" ....
Listened to it. Here's my slant:
It is what it is. Power rock radio candy, and this is gonna be the next floor packer once it really hits and the local cover bands start scooping it up. It's got all the ear marks of that type of song.
They shot into stardom with one over-played song, and it's kept them riding that wave for awhile...and making far more money than I ever will at it. And maybe that's what irritates a lot of people.
As far as their so-called "limited talents," I seem to know a band who has thrived for YEARS on songs consisting of 3 or 4 chords, is hard rocking, and sings about sex, drugs, and rock-n-roll...repetitively...and you can learn their entire history of songs in about a month...and their sound isn't any harder than Buckcherry's. I'm gonna get slammed for this, but when you think about it...sadly, it's true...damn true:
AC/DC

I always thought he was an average player - a lot of cliche pentatonic stuff and pretty straight-forward rythmn playing. Buckcherry's guitarists come from that blues-based vein, but they're cleaner players than Angus (and more interesting rythmn players, IHMO).f.sciarrillo wrote:

But hey, Angus is rocking stadiums in his school uniform and I'm a nobody posting on Rockpage, so I guess I don't have any room to speak.

ok, so what? most bands will never achieve ACDC's fame that doesn't make all them suck.f.sciarrillo wrote:bassist_25 wrote:I always thought he was an average player - a lot of cliche pentatonic stuff and pretty straight-forward rythmn playing. With regard to "Butt Cherry," I've learned that when I found my incredible band that's going to take over the world and be bigger than the Beatles, I need to pick a name that isn't easily made fun of.

First, Undercoverjoe takes a joke I say at face value and now you. Maybe I should quit trying to make funnies on Rockpage.

Who is this giant bag of douche?! The question was did we like the song, which is a question about an opinon, a viewpoint. If some of us answered no, then so be it. You didn't ask is your band bigger, more popular, than Buck Cherry did you?! So those of us that think the song sucks leave it as that. Don't get on here and bash someone for an opinion they have based on a question you wanted opinions on....or just don't ask opinionated questions.vindicator wrote:are you bigger than buckcherry..
