That may be, but I wonder how much of it is the 800-hotline that the LCE has set up to report "problem licensees".

You know how petty some people can be and I wonder how many barred drunks or scorned wives (or husbands) call that hotline and report an establishment out of spite. Like I said, Beer Bellies went to great expense to make sure that their noise doesn't bother residents. Why then, do they continue to get harassed for noise violations? They must be targeted for one reason or another. Why does one Altoona bar that borders a residential area get raided continuously while another that sits squarely in the middle of a residential neighborhood is overlooked?

Only the commander of the local LCE knows the answer to these questions. Perhaps it is time to confront him with our problem.
...Oh, the freedom of the day that yielded to no rule or time...

Excellent point. I know of places that spent in the high five figures, more than I paid for my house, to abate noise leakage, and still got cited. And somebody explain the citations where there was no complaint, only an LCE "agent" standing outside listening, which is on a level with Roscoe P. Coltrain sitting hidden in his cruiser a hundred yards down the road from the Dew Drop Inn. I am all for drunk-driving enforcement, but against entrapment. Go shoot fish in somebody else's barrel.---->JMS
