Band name please!!

Post by Cmbeers »

Ok, around 1988-1990 there was a band in the Huntingdon area that had a song called "Poor little rich girl". Does anyone know what the name of the band was. I remember seeing them at the Three Springs carnival. It's been bugging me for years, if you have any idea, please let me know.
Thanks,
Chris

It could have been Hybrid Ice

They used to play the summer fair circuit in central PA, They had a song called Poor Little Rich Girl on their No Rules CD which was released in the late 80's

Yep, that's Hybrid Ice. "Poor Little Rich Girl" is from their second album, No Rules, from 1988.

No, trust me, I'd have known about, and attended that show. Three Springs is a pretty small town, and I don't even know where there'd be room for them to play... even outdoors. The fireman's carnival is the biggest outdoor event of the year, and Bashful was likely the biggest band to play it.---->JMS

I know Hybrid Ice played the Huntingdon County Fair once or twice; maybe that is the show you're thinking of...

Oh, you know what I mean! :D Thin Ice had the priviledge of opening them at the Huntingdon County Fair, and together we drew like 2500 people. (I drew up to 3 of those people myself!) There's nowhere in Three Springs that would hold a crowd that large... I lived there for a few years.
I'm gonna look pretty stupid if Hybrid Ice actually DID play there, and Mr. Plugged-In-Know-It-All never knew. ---->JMS

I think a return of Thin Ice should be in the making...I would love to see Mr. Morningstar behind the kit. Except it should be called thick Ice now...

Thank you. I do believe it was Hybrid Ice. I am pretty sure that it was at Three Springs in the pavilion were they played.
Anyhow, thanks for the info. Does anyone know where I could get an old cd or copy of the song?
Thanks,
Chris
