I used to do alot of OC'ing. Everest monitors everything about your system.

I might still have a serial for full version, ill look.
Off to Johnstown to see Cray!

You should always overclock through your motherboard, not through a software program. I would recommend checking out your system bios to see if they lend themselves to overclocking.

Old school oc'ing meant rebooting everytime and only changing voltages from the bios, PITA.... if you have an X58 series board with I7 chipset EVGA has a great utility thats work in windows flawless...and is a timesaver. Combined with Everest checking all the crucials i can dial in a system in half the time with no danger. One reboot is only to check for stableness anymore. Ive built 4 for gaming friends and dialed them all in with this method.
EVGA E-LEET
EVGA now gives you more with the EVGA E-LEET Tuning Utility. This utility allows you to easily set your motherboard QPI and system Voltages from within Windows to get your system running at the highest level of performance possible. EVGA E-LEET also includes a validation feature, allowing you to save a CPU screenshot and generates a unique URL, also a Brink OC feature that automatically saves a screenshot with every clockspeed increase.
Also, the latest version now includes support for EVGA GTX 480 voltage tuning! Increase your voltage to maximize your overclock, or lower your voltage to decrease the operating temperatures. In addition, you can adjust your graphics card’s PWM frequency to squeeze every last bit of performance from your product!
Features:
* NEW! EVGA GTX 480 voltage adjustments (BETA)
* NEW! EVGA GTX 480 PWM frequency adjustments (BETA)
* Real-time monitoring of CPU, Memory and QPI frequencies
* Real-time monitoring of vital voltages such as: CPU VCore, DRAM Voltage, +12v, etc.
* Real-time monitoring of each individual core, north bridge and voltages regulator temperatures
* Real-time adjustments of QPI Base Clocks, CPU Multiplier and PCIe Bus Frequencies
* Directly generate CPUZ Validation file and submit it via the utility itself
* "Brink OC" mode automatically saves a validation file every time you push up your CPU Frequency so you can grab your overclocking record with lesser hassle
* Logitech keyboard LCD display support -
I dig it......

Ive had 3 EVGA boards, all limited lifetime warrantys, they encourage overclocking, great company, fried one, had it back in a week, no charge.f.sciarrillo wrote:Gamers do it all the time. A majority of the Mobo's are now made to be oc'd. The only thing is that when you do it, you void the warranty...MeYatch wrote:I really did not think people still did this.
