Amp Troubles

Post by Headbanger83 »

I have a Kustom 100 watt mosfet Keyboard/mixer amp. I use it mostly for putting 2 mics through. Last time i was jamming with my buddy, it would make a cracking noise when ever we would get a little loud. I was curious as to why it would do that, if anyone knows something about it, let me know. Thanks :D

What kind of "cracking" sound? Like a rattle? Might you have blown a speaker?

Generally, you'll get a scratching sound when you turn the pot.

Might be a little tare or something. I had a amp that was like that, a little tare is what was causing it. It wasn't noticeable on the lower volumes because the speaker wasn't vibrating as much.

Can get patches. Also, a little very tight, cloth medical tape and crazy glue on a small tear can work.
