Website Raising Money for Ovarian Cancer

Hey everyone I don't post on here a lot but I do know a lot of you or have seen your bands out and about. Anyways, My name is Mike and I was the bass player for The Defining Hour.

Anyways, about 4 weeks ago my wife, Darcel (who is 25 years old) had surgery to remove a mass that they thought was Endometriosis. The surgery revealed that she had ovarian cancer and they had to give her a hysterectomy to remove almost all of the cancer. She had the ports for chemo put in this week and will be starting chemotherapy soon. From there she will need another major surgery. Her spirits are amazingly high and the first words she said to anyone were 'I won't let this beat me.'

Long story short, we have started a website to raise money for the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance (OCNA). They help raise money for Ovarian Cancer research since there is no clear cut test for it. The website is

We are also selling Shirts and Bands with Darcel's phrase 'Won't Let This Beat Me' on them. You also receive shirts and bands as free gifts based on your donation amount.

I'd appreciate it everyone would help spread the word about the website in hopes of raising money to help find a way to test for this Silent Killer.

Darcy is a beautiful person inside and out and deserves better than being afflicted with this idiotic disease, but she is not letting that slow her down at all. we're gonna get together a killer benefit show sooner than later with her and Mike's help to raise awareness and some capital to help out with the cause.

Thanks guys I really appreciate it but you already know that.

I can't wait to get started on the benefit show. I couldn't ask for a better group of friends.

So far the website has raised over $1,377 in about 5 days, it's been amazing.
