Musci Trivia - Name this song V

Post by f.sciarrillo »

Ok... I am thinking of a song. This song came out in 1969 and it was the number 1 single of the year. It was written for and performed by fictional characters. Ray Stevens also performed on it.

This song was also redone by numerous artist, Bob Marley; Wilson Picket and Tom Jones being a couple of them.

Can you tell the name of the song and who performed it?

If it's not "Na Na Hey Hey (Kiss Him Goodbye) by Steam, you'll need to check your sources, Frank.

lol, that is not it. That did come out in 1969; it was a number one song; but, it was not single of the year. There was another one that same year ...

They also had a song called "Waldo P. Emerson Jones", which was Jughead's real name, I think.
