Sonar 8

Post by DMFJ03 »

So...

Sonar 8 has decided that it doesn't want to allow me to load anymore VST's. Under the Global Field > VST = the tabs aren't highlighted for it to scan for new ones. I have tried to cheat and drop the folders (including .dll files) into the Calkwalk/VST folder and still nothing. I have tried uninstalling Sonar and reinstalling it and nothing seems to be working.

Ideas? (Any buying Pro Tool isn't an option...just sayin. Ha!)

Try Reaper. ;)
www.reaper.fm

I know cakewalk has a forum, you could probably get better and faster help with Sonar there. Try Reaper though. Amazing audio program. Superfast and stable.

I know 60.00 bucks is a great deal for recording software, however, at this point in my financial situation...if it ain't free, then it ain't for me! HA!

Looks cool though.

Its free for a 30 day trial period. After the 30 days, it doesnt quit working, they just request you get the license. At $60 is a total steal!! You can do everything in Reaper that you can in every other DAW...just quicker, and more efficient. Not to mention, you can customize everything about it. Even down to making your own actions and tools!!!
I dont know, im a Reaper fanboy. Any recording program works and is good, ive always just been amazed with how awesome Reaper is. Btw, there are a million skins for Reaper that you can download, or you can make your own. The default skin is kinda "eh".
