i played with lonnie for several years in the seventy's . he is a good man and a hell of a performer .he took me under his wing and showed me the tough new york ropes. he never tried to make money from the hendrix name nor did he go around talking about it . i know he wrote the song as it was part of the set list and was part of lonnie's story. give the man his due . he certainly deserves it.
