Sorry it took so long, guys, I was a tad busy, but Da Commish has returned for another season! I'll set the usual league up again for this season on Yahoo and get back with the password and League ID#. Let's get some good participation this season!!!

This is gonna sound stupid...but how in the hell do you play fantasy football???? I see this every year on here, and have always been curious about it.. Im not even fully convinced I want to play, since I dont know how to play it!
Can someone please give me a quick rundown of how its done here?

Google Fantasy Football

Basically- you draft players from the NFL
You create a team in a league (usually 10-15 teams)
Each week the players you drafted get points based on their performance.
You go head - to - head against another team and the team with the most points wins.

Sort of like running your own team - It's a fun game if you like football. You end up watching a lot of games you normally wouldn't just to see who is doing what...

Okay folks, league is set up. Same settings as last season, there are 10 slots available. I can expand if need be. I have the league set for an Autopick draft, as I honestly can't guarantee everyone's availability for a live draft.

Standard Head To Head League, 10 teams
Playoffs weeks 15, 16, and 17.

I DEF
5 Bench Slots

Standard Waiver rules, 2 day trade protest option. Trades available until November 12, 2010.

I know it's rough but a live draft would kick ace...

I hate the autopick.
If people don't show they get the auto pick.

How bout Sunday Sept. 5th Around 6 or 7.

That will give you the preseason to "scout" your team. And if any major injuries occur it won't kill anyone's team.

The season then starts the following Thursday.

Let me know if you can't find a final team. I don't want to back out but currently I have 7 ESPN leagues (1 dynasty, 5 keepers, and 1 standard) and 2 standard Yahoo leagues. I am seriously thinking about dropping the Yahoo leagues because keeping track of all of them is going to be seriously difficult, especially over 2 websites. Plus, later in the NFL season is the NBA and I have 6 NBA fantasy leagues (2 standard and 4 keepers)so far. If you find one I'll stay, but if you can't I'll step back so you guys can play.
