NO WAY. I am not saying that at all. I'm just pointing out propaganda techniques and recommending caution from your political sources, whether they are right of left wing.

I remember Hitler's propaganda minister and I remembered a few of his methods and they reminded me of Palin and Limbaugh, so I did some research and found this list. And they (techniques) described Limbaugh's show to a T. So I thought I'd post them for your reading pleasure.

So what do you say when a Government is turning this country into a socialist nation instead of a democracy then? You can't tell you don't see that either. It is in my opinion a case of both sides not doing anything to help, but only making things worse. You have a President who doesn't know what he is doing and making this country go deeper in the hole, and you have a group of republicans spreading fear. So what is the central point of it all? I am starting to think there is none, which is why I always vote for none of the above.

The "tea party" reference was originally made by Ron Paul during his 2008 presidential campaign. Didn't really catch on. In 2009 Fox Netrwork's Dave Ramsey, on the show "Fox and Friends" waved tea bags and said it's time for a tea party. Rush Limbaugh picked up on it next.

Dick Armey's right wing Freedom works began promoting it.

It gained momentum when Fox news contributor Michelle Malkin was asked to publicize it.

Palin jumped on board - also a Fox employee.

They are capable of being easily learned.

(a) The Audience at any Palin or Tea Party are already primed (by Fox) when to cheer and what to cheer for. "How's that changy thingy workin' for ya ?" Just another catch phrase formed to get a desired response from a crowd.

Glen Beck is one of the best at at keeping anxiety levels high. He tries and succeeds to scare you. And you ARE afraid. And in (b) he scares you about the consequences of defeat. Of course, all of Fox - including the news reports - do that. As does Limbaugh and Palin.

Without any doubt, the Tea Party would not exist without Fox, Limbaugh and Palin. They are filled with hatred, have HIGH ANXIETY levels all fired up by Fox and Friends of Fox. These people not only control the Tea Party, they control the Republican party.



They will be used over and over and over again. Have you heard a Sarah Palin Speech? It is nothing but catch phrases used to galvanise the crowd. She is one of the best at that.

I've been to a tea party. The was the night Brown won. Near the end of the meeting someone announced Brown won. EVERYONE clapped and cheered. There were NO democrats there.

The fact is that Fox and Limbaugh tell you democrats and blacks are there. I think there were six blacks at the last big Tea Party. Fox will just tell you there were blacks there. No lie, just misleading.

Just the fact that they had NO PROBLEM with the deficit at 10 trillion under Bush. The fact that Bush's tax cuts added one Trillion to his already increasing deficit. Means Fox hadn't yet propagandised it until Obama became President. You Frank, yourself, fell for that one.

Bill, you are obviously uninformed about publicly traded corporations and bankruptcy proceedings. In all cases, allowing the aforementioned businesses go into chapter 11 would have resulted in better conditions than we have now:

1. The companies' debts would have been wiped off the books, instead, they are still paying off debt, mostly to us, the taxpayers, through their new masters, the federal government.

2. The management who caused these problems, along with the common shares would be gone, gone, gone and the senior debt would be the new asset owners. Instead, either the same management or a puppet management is in place and the government became the new shareholders.

The assets should have moved from weak hands to strong hands, become debt-free and continue operations. Unfortunately, the typical uninformed citizen hears "bankruptcy" and equates that to "out of business." Its so easy to snow the public on these kinds of things. Speaking of snow jobs (you know, propaganda) I love this "too big to fail" mythology. Politicians are glad the public believes this bullshit, but in reality, the assets just move to safer, stronger hands.

3. By undermining #2, the government has established a precedent where senior debt obligations can be trumped by government interference. In normal reorganization proceedings, the senior debt assumes the new equity structure of the company as a condition of their bond purchase. Instead, the government came in and flipped the table on the bondholders. Now, investors can no longer count on that asset guarantee and are much less inclined to buy company senior debt, or will demand a higher interest rate because of the higher risk caused by the government.

The only time there should have been any government "interference" was during the actual crisis in the fall of 2008. When the money system froze they took the right step of supplying liquidity during the crisis. Once the real crisis was over, they should have gotten their nose out of it and allowed bankruptcies to proceed in an orderly manner.
