I just saw on ESpn.com that Holmes is going to be suspended the first four games because of substance abuse. They were saying that if they didn't trade holmes, they would release him.

steelers really don't care if he was convicted or not. just to have his name in the paper for any kind of negative image on him reflects back on the team. they have already speculated that the Steelers may suspend him or even cut him. i think holmes was a message to Ben that they don't care who you are.

Both Holmes and Ben are retarded. Always putting themselves in bad situations nonetheless. A receiver is a hell of a lot easier to find then a proven winning quarterback. One thing I do admire about the Steelers/Rooney family is they don't like pricks and scum on their team. Plax is a perfect example, just like Holmes a great wide receiver, but had trouble off the field... Look where he is now. I'm surprised Reed is still around...but yet again, he is a great kicker and their hard to find. He's next though in my opinion if he doesn't quit dying his hair fag colors and acting like a pansy.

holmes is a typical dumb jock. too stupid to keep from embarassing himself, the team and even the league, which is close to punishing him yet. Ben on the other hand is unfortunatly the ugliest quaterback evr to win a superbowl. The other teams have these pretyy boys who have girls and advertisers from all over the USA after them Poor ugly ben can't get an endorsement or a girl. Has to grab girls and pull them into the batroom at a bar and grope and fondle them or throh himself ata girl bringing roo service to his hotel room She probably did have ideas of getting it on with the superbowl champ till she got a close up look at him and it was too late. he was probably all over her. We'll be ok though as soon as we get rid of the offensive co ordinator and the rooney rule coach the rooney's felt compelled to hire since they put the stupid rule in. What an insult to all the black coaches out there. frustration started when we couldn't score more than a few points aganist kc, oakland and cleveland. Too much more of this and I will be looking for a new team to root for

On a side note, I heard a rumor that Rockpage is looking to trade f.Sciarrillo and undercoverjoe for the same reason.

This is only the start of years of failure to come Steeler fans. Tomlin was handed Bill Cowhers Superbowl team. Now that Cowhers team is fading away do you really think Tomlin is smart enough to build a new Superbowl team? NO! I will be suprised if the Steelers make it back to even a wild card shot as long as Tomlin is coaching.
