Looking to buy acoustic/electric guitar

Post by webmiztris »

UPDATE: I sold my Samick. Now I am looking for an acoustic/electric guitar. Roundbody or slimline style preferred. An Ovation Celebrity or similar would be great. Please contact me if you have one for sale. Thank you!!

Yes, Ruschelle has an Ovation Celebrity and it sounds great. If I could snag one of those, I'd be happy!

Still awaiting responses. I'd still love to do a trade ASAP. Or I could also sell it outright. Make an offer!! Thanks.

i have an applause electric acoustic they are made by Ovation but it might not be what your looking for because the tone is really bright and it needs alot of EQ to get a really good tone......... have you thought of using an electric with an acoustic simulator pedal?

Todd,

I might be very interested in that. That was one of the guitars I've been looking at online. Can you send me the exact model and stuff? I like to look at photos and reviews online before even trying out guitars if possible. What color is it? Is it in good condition? Do you have a case or bag for it?

I've been using my electric with my Marshall's acoustic simulator for practice, but it doesn't seem to pack the same punch as an actual acoustic does.

I *think* my guitar will be sold here within the hour....a lady made an offer to buy it outright and I'm stopping over at her place over lunch. But with the cash, I'd still like to purchase an acoustic/electric for sure. Please get back to me. Thanks so much!

Dawn

its an AE 128 balck in color and it has a crack in the finish it has had since i bought it. it doesn't affect the sound or the structure. I have taken shims out of the bridge to lower the action and there is no fret buzz. I put a white pick guard on it and with the adhesive thats on it i wouldn't advise taking it off due to it will screw up the finish.... I'm heading to work now and won't be able to reply back to you about this until tomorrow so do your research and decide from there. I have never gigged with this i just use it around the house. It has a padded gig bag also...
