PEARL tom mount

Post by rokindoug »

My pearl tom mount that sits on the bass drum is screwed up. I have had the set for 10 years and the black seal in the right side of the tom mount has went bad. I was wondering if i can replace the seal or do i have to just buy a new tom mount?

Doug, you should be able to replace that plastic sleeve easily, if it's the one I think it is, the seal that sits inside the tom mount and recieves the tom arm. Check out the Pearl Drummer's Forum, EBay, and even Pearl themselves for replacement sleeves. Shouldn't be too hard to find.

Pearl Drummers Forum has a section for anyone with specific Pearl problems. The section is called "Pearl First Aid". If you ask your question in that section one of Pearl's own technicians will answer the question for you.

I have used different brands of those sleeves before. too big-cut em down, too small-put the gap toward you.all those reall do is hold things tight...most music stores i've been to have a cheap-generic version...but either way-they'll work the same till you get what you're looking for.
