Want to trade: 1999 Dodge Van for a School Bus

We are (and have been) looking for a DEPENDABLE full size school bus for our band.

I have a 1999 Dodge Ram Van V8 with about 115,000 miles. It's worth about $3500. Runs well. A/C, power windows and locks, clean. Makes a great band or work van. I'd like to sell it outright for $2800.

A typical retired school bus from the school district costs around $2,000. with inspection, good tires and brakes etc.

So here's the deal... if you have a bus that's not a rusted piece of crap then I may be interested in trading the van.

Well... we finally found a full size bus provided everything passes inspection. They parked it when school ended in summer 2007. The next year they bought new ones so this became a spare. Quite a steal for $1000.

It gets a whopping 6 miles per gal... uphill or downhill. It takes us five vehicles to haul our shit around now so actually it will cost less gas and wear and tear on our cars and trucks. Plus we can haul more people for out of town shows.

Thanks to all that have replied to this post. Some of the buses were really nice. Also, my van is still for sale for $2000.
